Hi, I have renewed my PRC license once in SM Marikina. Just a few weeks ago, I lost my PRC ID:(. I tried to check if I could request for a duplicate/replacement in SM Marikina last April 5, 2016 and when I asked the security guard, I was immediately told that they currently don’t process renewal of PRC ID (I already forgot to ask if they can process duplicate/replacement) and they haven’t received any update yet from PRC as of that date. So I presume that they are not processing any renewal for quite a while now.

My question, does anybody know if SM malls can process duplicate/replacement of PRC ID? And if they can, when would they start processing PRC ID’s?

Although the Land Transportation Office (LTO), the government body responsible for issuing the driver’s license, has extended its expiration from 3 to 5 years, renewing the Driver’s License has traditionally been a pain. Since I started driving 20 plus years ago, I have had my share of bad experiences — from waiting more than half a day, to the computer system crashing, to waiting under the heat of the sun, and to dealing with annoying fixers.
