Kk.exe Conficker

Feb 12, 2010 - XP pro sp3. This started as Conficker infection. I run KK.exe, which found and supposedly got rid of Conficker. Yet I was sure that sometime else.

Just discovered a program exe that I think is a virus? It only started this week by closing down my computer system every two minutes using system error shutdown, and it was installed on April fools day of this year. It was in c/windows/system32 and was located alongside the real services.exe but is called servises.exe, also with three servises.dll's I realised this was the culprit by analysing the system shutdown error messages, that refered to a servises.exe.

So I hunted for it. I have now managed to delete this servises.exe into the recycle bin, by waiting for it to time out during the system shutdown timer sequence.

I have also deleted the three dlls as well. Everything is now working well, so will permenately delete them soon, assuming I do not need them. QUESTIONS How did it get by my firewall/virus checker and install itself on 1 april 2009, then only start operating this week? Is this a well known virus? Should other members check to see if they have this exe hidden away?
