Gibson

I've been looking for a semi-hollow body electric. I got to play a Gibson es135 limited edition guitar with P90s today. It was pretty nice, but needed a setup and the pickups were too close to the strings. It was hard to get a feel for it with the pickups so close and getting blasted by the strings.

I've been trying to find out some info on these guitars, but I can't find much info on the web. It was pretty expensive at almost $2k. The neck had binding and it had p90s. Anybody have one of these?

I'm trying to find a good 335 type guitar for around $2k, and I haven't found any locally to play. The 135 seemed pretty cool though.

Any opinions on the limited edition 135? Or opinions on other 335 type guitars for around $2k? It did have F-holes, a trapeze tailpiece and a bound neck, which I haven't seen on an es-135 before. They must have been p90s because they were buzzing like single coils. It also had black tophat knobs, which I don't recall being on 135. The store said it was a limited edition of the 135, and very rare. I trust them because it is a nice store that carries high end custom shop gibsons and fender guitars.

I am looking for a hollow sounding guitar. It sounded nice and fat, but it was hard to tell with the pickups hitting the low E, and using the store's amp. It seemed expensive for a 135, but I guess it must be a custom shop. It felt very nice to play and was light and perfectly balanced.

Oracle jinitiator 1.3.1.22 vista. I think a setup would cure everything. Anybody else heard of these?
