I recently purchased and aquired a HP Pavilion DV1000. I take it HP no longer offers any direct support for their older pcs and laptops such as the DV1000? Is there a site with more specific drivers for the DV1000?

Mersal bgm mp3 download I currently don't know much about it's hardware other than it has a Pentium M 2.0 Ghz cpu and I believe 1 gig of memory. Computer management has approx. 1/2 dozen devices without drivers installed. The current Windows XP graphics driver installed provides no or little information about the graphic hardware and settings. The laptop came with no hard drive.

After finding a DV1000 hd adapter I formatted a new hd and then installed Windows XP SP3 which is the original OEM licensed OS that came with the laptop. Thanks for the link. I have tried at least some of those downloads from another site, however only one or two are compatible with my Pavilion. The video and several other drivers aren't compatible or the installation failed. Multimedia Audio Controller Network Controller PCI Modem Video Controller Video Controller (VGA Compatible). After searching around I did find some drivers from more than one site. However some did not work, after searching several times I was finally able to locate and download drivers that installed without any error messages, or messages that the driver could not find the device. The only one I haven't been able to install is the Modem PCI driver. Failed to install on Windows XP perhaps it's a Windows 7 driver.

I was able to find and install drivers for the Wireless (Wifi), Graphics Video and Audio. ___________________ I'm thinking of upgrading the memory from the installed 1 gig, however I'm uncertain if the maximum is 2 gigs or 4 gigs as I've read posts where one user state 2 gigs and another was able to upgrade to 4 gigs memory.
