The GT1 is an earlier BMW diagnostic head unit from about 10 or more years ago. The package has been downloaded, and presumably installed 3099 times and 3 people including you have problems with it. What does that tell you? Have a look at perhaps it might help. Try downloading software meant for the tool you are using. Use Google a little harder you will find many You Tube guides on the internet. Some say NCS expert is good with your tool.

I can not say I do not use it. There is something that says pin 6&7 should be joined together in you tool.
