Just Mohabbat has got to be one of the coolest shows from the '90s! I recently started watching the entire show on YouTube because I like taking a little #NostalgiaTrip down memory lane every now and then, and to be honest, Just Mohabbat could easily be India's answer to The Wonder Years. You probably still remember her from the TV shows.

He became the heartthrob of Bollywood with his debut in ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ while she was still an uncommon face to the industry. We say that some people take forever to find true love but Imran found his soul mate when he was just 19 years old. He met Avantika at a party and they just clicked, but never in his wildest dreams did he think that she will be his forever.

It is often said that opposites attract, this is so true in their relationship because both these people are very different from each other. While Imran is laid back and relaxed Avantika is the responsible person in the relationship. Imran thinks that whatever has to happen will eventually happen, but his better half ensures that everything is just fine. They were destined to meet is what we can say after reading their story. Meeting at a party, they started dating in 2002. Started as “puppy love” they made their commitment to a stronger bond by finally tying the knot in 2011.

They both were even in a life in a relationship for 1 year while they were in Los Angeles, where Imran was pursuing a course in Acting. Being in the industry most of the actors are of the view that marriage at an early age won’t let them focus on their career, but for Imran it was not that tough a decision as he decided to marry Avantika taking note of his seniors like Shahrukh, Anil Kapoor, Hrithik etc. He believes that Avantika has changed her in different ways all these years and has also made him a better actor. Just like every girl dreams of a very romantic proposal so did Avantika dreamt of one.

Imran went to her house in her absence, decorated her room and went down on his knees and asked her if she would like to become his forever. Tell me who would turn down such a lovely proposal?

Imran continued doing movies. He was not going through the best of times as none of his movies were able to leave a great impact on the audiences. In this time Avantika was Imran’s constant support system and kept him motivated. Both of them complement each other perfectly. Giving each other proper space and understanding the other person point of view has been the strength of their relationship according to the couple. Imran feels that Avantika is his first priority and what all he has achieved till date, he owes it to his lovely wife. After 3 years of their marriage, the couple was blessed with a beautiful baby girl on 9th June 2014.

They named their daughter as Imara Malik Khan which means strong and resolute. The couple is very fond of their daughter and is doing everything to give her the best future. This beautiful story is inspiring for all the young couples out there. We wish both Imran and Avantika many more happy and joyful years of love and togetherness.
